People forget about Randy Couture. Doing the stuff he did. First man to win belts in two weight classes. First man to become champion over 40 years old. One of the most dominant wrestlers and a competent grappler that even went to the ground with world champion BJJ guys like Gonzaga and even had a grappling match with Ronaldo Souza. How is this man not in GOAT conversations when he's done stuff that the GOATs probably only currently dream of doing.

couture doesnt get enough credit. three hw title defenses, 1st one to win a title in 2 weight classes in the ufc . good for lidell as well. he went to ko couture twice after this fight
2 legends of the sport. I'd like to see Randy and Dana make up so Randy can come back and do commentary and stuff. Miss having him around the UFC.

Holy shit the UFC put out a video of Randy looking good? Dana White's cold heart must be melting
These 2 are fkng pioneers of MMA and helped build it and took the sport to new levels. You can also say Chuck was the first real Rockstar of the UFC.
Appeciate the love for the old days. Guys like Couture, Liddell, Ortiz helped build the ufc.

Randys striking was like Prime Lomachenko here.
Man I remember watching this on PPV when it was priced right.
It's clear this truly was a different time where you could fight a killer at any moment's notice. It's a big part in why the records were so muddy as no one ducked anyone and fought all styles and monsters. You only see rare instances like Tito ducking Chuck for ages. It's just another instance of Randy the Natural being one of the greatest to ever do it. He destroyed Chuck in that first fight despite Tito, the younger man, hiding from him.
One of the best to every do it. Randy embodied the type of excellence and virtue, both in the ring and outside it, that inspired you to be a better person. Couldn't help but root for him. The king of his time.

You telling me that Rose Namajunas vs Carla Esparza fight didn't have you on the edge of your seat?
Gods fight
Both fought good. And yes Chuck knocks Randy out later in some fights.but good skills from both camps.and with all the information out there and film. You can't be unbeatable. There are peaple watching your strategy, and building a defense plan. Best plan is to be versatile, strong. And evolve into a well rounded fighter. I think GSP who looked up to couture as a role model, proved his abilities to be great and greater..later in his bouts.
I remember when I really didn't think Chuck would ever lose... Then rampage came over and I said oh nvm lol.
Randy has a more influential legacy than Chuck. Chuck provided eyeballs, while Randy helped build a culture for the next gen of fighters to thrive. They're like Khabib and Conor.
Dana said when the fight was signed chuck was like Randy's old I feel bad for having to bear him up lmao chuck was out drinking thinking randy was a hasbeen
THE NATURAL
I remember being so disappointed chuck lost this fight and so happy when he won the rematch with the ko
Couture had some Earios before going out there that's why he won.
