Anderson Silva contou a história dessa luta ontem no Podcast Flyo.. GOAT skillset. Has some of the highest level hands, kicks, knees, elbows, footwork, head movement, timing, shot selection, fight IQ, etc. in the game. He’s the perfect create a character - a long, precision & timing based counterstriker, with top tier takedown defense, and an offensive and dangerous guard as a last walk of defense if he does get taken down. This KO is a thing of beauty. He stays patient, making reads and setting traps early. Uses his feints and movement to control/increase the pace of the fight, then finds the moment to lull Vitor to sleep for just a split second, & rips a wildcard of a front kick out of absolutely nowhere. Stays composed, follows him down, gives him 2 precise shots to the dome to finish it off. Anderson a GOAT. His legacy tarnished by the PED stuff as well as him staying too long and going on a bad losing streak. Some will say he didn’t have the greatest strength of schedule, but many didn’t in those times, and he still has name like Rich Franklin, Dan Henderson, Vitor Belfort, Chael Sonnen, Forest Griffin, etc, in his resume. After watching todays fighters, you come back and see the fluidity & finess of a guy like Anderson and it makes you wonder how things would be different had he been in his prime today. His timing, accuracy, shot selection, footwork, feints, and composure were truly something else. This knockout still stands as one of the absolute most sick knockouts of all time.

Yes he was but all I said was in all that time seeing Victor's stances, guard, movements, sizing up etc he found a great opening and opportunity and timed the front kick perfectly.
