    I don't know if he would of got the finish but a decision would be possible with all that pressure and volume buck was putting out, if you couldn't tell he slipped when he threw the kick, and might of been too close to land..

    Yeah they said he spars a lot with Sean Strickland and it's noticeable with that relaxed style with the Philly shell, and perfect guard. Buckly not getting through with his style he loops punches too much.

    Philly shell? We watching the same highlight? He just has a very standard lead/rear southpaw stance lmao. Buckley just has such a squared up stance it makes it look like Curtis is in a shell but he's not even really close to being Iba shell.. Shell blocks with lead shoulder and back hand, he didn't block/roll once with his shoulder

    Curtis said not that long ago that he's not only considered 170 but that he can make it. I think at his age he just doesn't want to go through hell when he's not going to be champ in either division. Buckley was jacked at 185 he had to drop just a little mass to make the move to welterweight. Cutting all that extra weight could just drain Curtis. Then he's in there with faster guys and possibly a diminished chin.

    I feel like Curtis is his own worst enemy. He has good power and boxing and his boxing defence is next level. But he gets so comfortable staying in his high guard just defending shots and trying to get in a counter shot here and there that he loses fights on inactivity. He needs to start throwing more!

    absolutely fucking beautiful fight. gorgeous movement from both of these fighters. Buckely landed some FUCKING BOMBSHELLS, Curt's chin is nothing to scoff at, and the movement from Buckely was absolutely phenomenal. amazing to see these defensive fighters seemingly just accept shots, and then find a perfect opening for a perfect counter attack, absolutely fucking beautiful fight

    Buckley needs a TRAINER. Dude has way too much athleticism and reflex speed to be as sh*tty as his record is. Sometimes it takes the right training system to utilize an athletes ability and mental discipline. Buckley lacks patience and shot selection. Crazy how he moves that fast for so long with that physique

    I didn't see this fight but I knew this would be the result. Curtis with his footwork and jab is exactly how to stop an explosive guy. This is almost like grappler vs striker but in stand up that's how different they fight like opposite of each other. very interesting why this is best sport in the world

    Bucky does not have the power to be a power puncher at 185 but he does for 170 so its probably better for him anyways

    That's the danger when you fight a counter puncher who has a great defense like Curtis. He lulls you into thinking he is slow and then he just explodes on you once you commit to a great sin of over committing on an attack. Buckley was doing a great job of working the legs early on. Too bad he didn't stick with it because he could have won with that I think. His attacks were nice and accurate at the legs. I think Curtis's defense was frustrating him a bit too much and he lost his cool at the end and it cost him. A good match though!
