    If you love MMA this show is a must, Dan really puts you into the mind of these fighters and gives you an insight into how every single move could potentially lead to either the win or loss, I have a whole new appreciation for Nate's game that i totally missed watching the fight live, I really enjoy these fight break downs almost as much as the fights themselves!!

    Just wanted to add... Nate's coaches probably alerted him how Conor would always slip the jab an counter so that's how Nate executed the jab immediately followed by a straight left before Mcgregor could counter. That's the combo that hurt him bad

  • @6laka.

    @6laka.

    7 жыл бұрын

    +Tebz.M yeah nate's left follows his jab so quickly. He has one of the best 1-2s in the game. But I believe that if conor uses his kicking and more unorthodox striking to be as elusive as in previous fights, he could be more effective at passing the jab.

  • @ziongite

    @ziongite

    It's good that you use the word "could", that is appropriate. Because it's still likely that even if Nate didn't place his foot in between that he still could have subbed Conor regardless with another setup and technique. I mean Nate has subbed many guys from his back also.

  • @BieberSucksCock100

    I love these videos, especially when Dan breaks down grappling. So informative for people who don't see the technicalities in real time.

  • @ziongite
    @ziongite7 жыл бұрын

    Conor was fighting at two weight classes above his original weight class. Yes that is true, but I feel the media are trying to say that to infer that he was fighting a guy that also was two weight classes above him. But that isn't true, Nate is a 155 fighter. So Conor was only fighting a guy 1 weight class above him, not two. It's dishonest to try to make that excuse and build some inference that he lost to a guy who is two weight classes larger in size. Everyone saw Nate against a real WW in Rory (clear size difference and was tossed around), Nate is a tall ectomorph 155 guy (Just like Michael Chiesa and Tony Ferguson), WW is his brothers division (Nick). Who is naturally slightly thicker in body than Nate.

    Well right now nate would weight the same as nick, if you seen recent photos nate is about 200 pounds no way on earth he would make a weight cut of 50 pounds to make 155 so you could say now he is 2 weight classes above, conor 168> nate 200

  • @AbelR91

    @AbelR91

    Nate Diaz has fought at 165 before , also Conor has fought at 155 before , but never at 165/170. Just thought I'd mention that. But it's true that Nate isn't 2 weight classes above , the trouble is putting on all that weight in such a short period of time really hurts your cardio .

  • @markmurphy3462

    @markmurphy3462

    Nate's cut to 155 is quite detrimental to his health as is conors cut to 145. Well documented fact for both fighters. I'd imagine we'll see Nate at 170 a lot more as his career matures. Once Conor defends his belt I'd imagine he'll stay at 155.

  • @undisputed3850

    Mark Murphy I can't see either fighter ever fighting at them weights nate looks comfortable now so he wont fight nobody's at 155, and I can't see conor wanted to fight aldo again or max there bigger fights out there, but yeah conor at 155 and nate at 170 in future

    I get that Diaz is a great fighter, but fact is that if it were not for McGregor, Diaz would have just been another guy, who fought in the UFC for ten years, without really getting payed for it. McGregor made Diaz for those, who are not really into UFC. However Christopher Collins said that it is insulting to Diaz and the Team behind him. I say so what? His Team should have done a better job on promoting, no making him a star, instead of getting him into fights, that don't really pay off. BTW, I think they are great fighters.

    Nat Brown And Diaz would still be on that lower echelon of stardom, except for the fact that he beat Conor. What short cuts did he take to do that? I find your proposition that his team has done a poor job on picking fights to be flawed in the sense that it is not their ultimate decision on who they fight, because it's the ufc's choice. His fight before Conor made him 40k. How much is left over after paying for the camp or life? Where is the marketing budget? It's also in the hands of the promotion. The purse strings, the fight choices, are not in Diaz's hands to begin with. Conor came up talking shit about Aldo. Diaz did it with Conor. How easy do you think it is to become a star, anyway?

    Christopher Collins All I am saying is that Connor is simply a great promoter. He made the fight. I don't get all the hate he gets. I do not even get why people hate on him because of his trash talk, in sports trash talk is part of the business. Some of the best were great trash talkers, now I admit that he is nowhere near Jordan or Ali sportswise, but when it comes to trash talk, he is up there. He obviously learned from the best.

    Nat Brown Conor is a great promoter. For sure. It's why he's a star, because there are plenty of excellent fighters like him. He came in relatively recently to ufc, and got a major push from the promotion almost entirely based on his ability to bring in ppv buys from trash talk. He deserves what he has for that. My point is Nate deserves his success, too. He took no less a short cut than Conor. In fact, he's been talking trash for years, but never got a push. He wouldn't be a star if he also wasn't an incredible mixed martial artist. And there are no short cuts to become that. But it was his mouth that got the fight with Conor. It seems disrespectful to me to say that Nate took a short cut, when he's been fighting in the ufc for almost a decade, and talking trash the whole time. It really isn't a big deal, more of an annoyance.

    1 his movement going to shit because he is scared of someones reach doesnt even make sense, 2. Connor won the first round and out boxed diaz effectively. This is a very close fight. it will be fun to watch. We will see a better version of both fighters this time.

    +silent mental aporoach diaz is good but hes just not a very technical boxer. He just throws the 1 2 but combines that with some use of angles as show in this video. I don't think anyone expects conor to gas in the beginning of the 2nd. Nate diazs conditioning and resiliency is huge in this fight and he gets more likely to win the longer the fight goes. Its not impossible for connor to win 3 rounds though. Yes diaz had 11 days but that isnt going to change his technique to much. We can look back at all of his fights.

    Connor made a big mistake, he underestimated the punishment nate could eat. I'm sore the weight classes played a small part, as his easy win over Aldo just set him up for a complacent letdown. He gassed going for the ko (bigger guy can eat his left) panicked and tried a poor takedown trying to recover. Hopefully this time around, it goes the distance and is a classic.

    ***** they don't hurt they really just annoy but that doesn't matter the best way for him to win and damn near everybody else who fights Diaz is really to keep it standing and hit and move. The reason why a lot of people lose to Diaz in the stand up is because they want to try and pressure him and knock him out but because he has great cardio and strong chin plus the fact that he can frustrate you to try and continue it ends up the opponent falling in the trap.
