    Joe hinted at maybe doing 1 (the best) fight a year I still think his entertainment value will never REALLY be replaced. I don't even want to think about Bruce Buffer, Big John MccArthy or Herb Dean not being a big part of the UFC. But I suppose the old need to go, to bring in new talent that we will grow and love like our favorite fighters have done. Looking on the inside though, Joe's fight companions should be on the increase!

  • @jamesbernstone2961

    @jamesbernstone2961

    7 жыл бұрын

    Hendos never been a UFC champ, true he had the pride belt but even when he won that, the UFC was classed as the top promotion. and thats easy to say as a fan but as a fighter you can only beat who's put infront of you, and Bisping has never turned down a fight. I'm not discrediting Hendo but to say he's a true fighter cause he dosn't talk the talk dosn't really mean anything cause Bisping Does talk the talk but is just as much a true fighter. and the Fedor win was against a fading Fedor, if that counts you cant say Bispings win was over an old Anderson cause Anderson still submitted Dan

  • @solkimmyjones

    @solkimmyjones

    7 жыл бұрын

    James Bernstone Pride was the top promotion at the time so you can't really discredit Hendos belts. What I mean by "true fighter" is a fighter with a traditional martial arts mentality - stoic, reserved and respectful. It's hard to see fighters like Hendo nowadays because the buzz right now is to be loud and attention seeking to draw in PPV. But I agree, Bisping is a decent fighter who has done well for himself but I think his win over Silva was from biased BS judging imho.

  • @jamesbernstone2961

    @jamesbernstone2961

    7 жыл бұрын

    I'm not discrediting Hendo's belts. I much peferred Pride to the UFC, thought it was a better test of Martial Arts and the UFC style is bias to a Wrestler in my eyes ... But Pride was on its last legs when Hendo won the belt. in his last Pride fight, then the UFC took over and he had that unification match with Rampage. I think Hendo's a ledgend of the sport dont get me wrong. We'll just have to agree to disagree I think every point your makings a valid one I just see things differently haha I think Bisping won 3 of the 5 round, but his stupid decision to go on about his mouth piece and get dropped cloud ppls view of the fight. It was allowed to go on and he went on to win ... and if he was legit KO'd there's no way he could of came back to beat someone as good as Anderson

    That Vanderlei Silva KO, he goes from decorticate (arms flexed) to decerebrate (arms extended) position as Henderson lands, as he often does, another blow after the opponent is knocked out. In essence you are seeing permanent brain damage being inflicted. Permanent brain function which they never get back. Fucking brutal.

    Not a big fan of Hardy commentary, but the punching power from wrestlers in close range was "brilliant" as the English like to say. Opposite of the Iceman, The Spider or Mystic-Mack. Good job Dan, for me your best analysts yet. Bigger fan now.

    I think Nate Diaz throws that same 'Euro' punch too and even though his chin is somewhat covered by his shoulder he is always ready turn roll his head away from any 'same side counter' should that it be thrown. I think he did it quite alot against McGregor in the first fight.

    During UFC 204, If Dan Henderson goes back to his roots and uses his Greco Roman Wrestling and gets Michael Bisping in the clinch or takes him down and uses those positions to set up and land the h bombs then I am sure he will most likely get a ko or tko finish and become the new UFC Middleweight Champion of the World. If he goes into the fight with any other game plan I feel the only chance he has is a punchers chance and this time Michael Bisping will most likely be circling away from Hendos right hand and he will pick him apart and use his footwork to avoid Hendos right hand. Henderson can also try switching to a southpaw stance when Bisping is circling away from his right hand since Hendo has ko power in his left hand aswell. I think Henderson needs to cut off the cage, pressure bisping, keep his defense tight, close the distance, and use set up strikes that will set up the opportunity for Henderson to use his Greco Roman Wresting. Then immediately after he starts using his Greco Roman he needs to land the h bombs in the clinch or after a takedown. Dan Henderson cannot afford to get into a striking match with Bisping at his age. Nor can he chase Bisping and wing punches because he is slower now and he will gas himself. If he makes these mistakes I feel Hendo will receive an early ref stoppage because of his age or he will lose a decision or possibly get knocked out. I believe Henderson has too much heart to get knocked out by Michael Bisping though. I hope Dan Henderson wins this one hes a good humble dude and deserves it. It would mean a lot to me to see my favorite fighter get to win that belt and retire in an epic way. Also I have a lot of respect for Michael Bisping for playing a huge part in allowing Hendo to get one last opportunity at a UFC belt. Good luck Hendo we believe in you and I cant wait for UFC 204!

    Here's how the fight goes: Round 1:Bisping gets Hendo into the clinch against the fence which will have Bisping landing some clinch strikes. They will separate and Hendo will try to land some shots. Bisping will duck some of these shots and shoot for a takedown and complete it. Bisping will roll with Hendo and return to the feet. Round 2:Hendo rushes Bisping to try and keep the pace going and hit Bisping with some big strikes(dazing Bisping). Bisping recovers. Bisping lands a left hand on Hendo that dazes him and sends him to the mat. Hendo recovers. They return to the feet and Bisping lands a good shot and knocks Hendo down for a TKO finish.

    You forgot the part where Hendo lands the H-bomb on Bispings face which K0s him viciously for the second time, then retires as the middle weight champ.That is more likely.

    Hendo isn't going to win this one. Michael's learnt a lot since that fight, has progressed dramatically as a fighter, is far more intelligent, skilled and powerful than he once was, with the latter quality being very significant because, previously, opponents could walk through Michael's punches, but with Michael's knockdown of Silva and knockout of Rockhold, opponents now have to be wary, and, importantly for Michael, Hendo isn't on TRT anymore. This could end early!
