Woodley needs leg kicks and takedowns, Thompson needs more springy in/out style attacks, and A LOT more lateral movement. Standing right in front of Woodley and letting him land that right hand over and over is a game plan for failure.

This is a tough one to predict. Wonderboy needs to watch the fight with Rory and Woodley. Woodley struggles hard with guys that can out box him and put pressure on him. Problem is despite Wonderboy's elite striking, he is not a boxer and I think that works against him in this matchup. Wonderboy needs to accept the fact that he might get knocked out or taken down but he has to take that risk in order to land combos on Woodley. On the other hand, Woodley needs to force Wonderboy to lead the action and use his explosiveness to counter and shoot.

Thompson is saying that he didnt pull the trigger on Woodley, but watching the fight you can see he was very aggressive, but Woodley was backing up quick enough to avoid taking any big hits that Thompson usually lands on other opponents. Thats not saying Thompson couldnt land shots on Woodley, it just means he couldn't land big shots to hurt Woodley badly enough to finish him..

Honestly, I am more looking forward to Khabib vs Tony, but it is great to have this Woodley vs Wonderboy rematch so soon after the first fight.
