I mean it would have been way more ballsy and productive to just throw a jab. What danger is he in by laying down? Is Silva know for his top game or GnP? No. Did Nick do that against GSP a guy who is? No. Laying down is a submissive act in the animal kingdom, I saw Nick laying down as him saying "I know I can't do anything to this guy" bitchasss mid as well have kneeled down and tapped out.

@@sukhdevr3489 agreed. i remember when nick fought gsp he talked so much shit and then in the fight got dominated and tried two extremely late swings after the bell in the 1st and 3rd round. on top of that he made up some ridiculous conspiracy about being poisoned. nate isnt much better either when it comes to complaining about losing a decision. he definitely lost that rematch with conor and yet never let it go

Yea Silva testing positive for anabolic steroids. Diaz testing positive for THC. Diaz robbed of purse and 5 year suspension.
You can't show this fight without showing the moment between Silva and Diaz afterwards. Silva emotional and Diaz consoling him really ended the night on an even higher note. Those are my favorite moments in this sport.

For Nick to land combos like that on Anderson Silva was just awesome, really awesome. He had so many moments of literally beating Anderson at his own game. Let alone how he forced Anderson to fight far more proactively than he normally ever had. The idea the man was restricted from returning for years after being tested for weed right after a fantastic, memorable performance like this is just bizarre.

If you go back through silvas fights he fought like this every time. He just didnt have many people bring the fight to him like nick, chael and weidman. He would try and bait fighters into rushing in and getting sloppy and then counter them with sharp strong punches.

@@1IRoylehe’s always been gun shy and want to fight the counter game, but he definitely had some hesitancy. Maybe he was wary of Nicks grappling like he was Maia’s. Either way, prime Anderson was a scary beast. That leg break ruined him.

tell my why this fight was anticlimactic? They just respect each other skills. When you fight andersoin you cant just rush him because he can KO you with everything, with nick you cant go toe to toe cause his cardio was infinite and when he feel you'r slow down he will go hard and end you

Two legends collide.
Honestly the first round was so amazing, as the fight were on you slowly got to see that Anderson was either going to catch him messing up or he was going to Coast to a pretty unanimous victory. Going in though I was very optimistic that Nick had a great chance because the Diaz brothers have that pressure boxing jiu jitsu style they're like a wild card, like a lyoto machida or a Demian maia. You can never count certain guys out. My anticipation for this fight was probably greater than my excitement during the fight. It was a little disappointing but still a fun fight
if nick was more serious he could of won his pressure was getting rewarded at times and his pace would of slowed down silva plus his ground game was good enough to avoid those sneaky last minute triangle holds like the one that caught sonnen

I like how Anderson didn't even try to take advantage of Nick when Nick was clowning around...he was vulnerable in some moments, and Anderson could hit him very easily, but didn't
